Appointments
Booking an Appointment
Most Ultrasounds are booked by appointment.
Walk-ins patients welcome with signed requisitions from a doctor (may be short wait time).
For booking we require a requisition ordered by a doctor (this could be a specialist, family doctor or local walk-in clinic physician). Once we receive this we can go ahead and book the ultrasound. Requisitions can be faxed directly to our office (Fax #: 705 558 9527). Doctors may also give a physical copy to patients- in this case you can call/email us to book the ultrasound. You will need to bring the requisition to the appointment.
How to prepare for your ultrasound:
Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your booked appointment.
Abdominal Ultrasound
- Nothing to eat or drink for 8 hours before your examination (except to swallow necessary medications)
Obstetrical
- Early dating/viability ultrasounds, Anatomy, NT & IPS require full bladder (Finish approx. 4 glasses/1L) of water an hour prior to your appointment
- BPP or obstetrical routine ultrasounds to check growth and well being after 28 weeks do not require full bladder or any prep.
Pelvic Ultrasound
- You need a full bladder
- Finish drinking 4 glasses of water ( approx. 1L) an hour prior to your appointment
- Do not void
Combination Pelvic and Abdominal Ultrasound
- Nothing to eat for 8 hours but complete drinking 40 ounces or 1 Litres of water 1 hour before your examination
- Do not void
Abdomen Limited for Hernia
- No Preparation is required
Breast u/s
Thyroid u/s
Renal/Bladder u/s( full bladder)
Sonohysterogram( see details below)
All results can be forwarded to your doctor, and will be available for your personal records.
Sonohysterogram
We are the only Ultrasound center in Simcoe county offering Sonohysterogram.
